Location & Community Located in Chapin, SC - a growing, family-friendly lakeside town Surrounded by award-winning schools, parks, Lake Murray, and near the capital city of Columbia Central SC location: Only around two hours from beaches and mountains About the Practice Privately owned, multi-doctor small animal general practice that exclusively treats dogs and cats Founded in 1997 by Dr. Kristine Laabs, the current practice owner Strong community ties and loyal client base Modern, spacious facility with high-quality equipment Diagnostic & Medical Equipment Fully digital x-ray, dental x-ray, therapeutic laser, ultrasound Bovie electrosurgical cautery, suction, surgical monitoring tools In-house Idexx VetLab (chem analyzers, SNAP pros, Sedivue, Fecal Imagyst) Cornerstone software - nearly paperless and lab-synced Team & Culture Supportive, collaborative team with full-time & part-time DVMs Well-trained, highly utilized tech support staff Family-friendly workplace with a focus on work-life balance No after-hours emergencies or boarding Work Schedule Full-time = 40 hrs/week (typically four 10-hour days) One Saturday morning a month (8am-12pm) Daily 30 minute appointments from 8/9am to 6pm (last appt at 5:30pm) 1-2 hour lunch break from 12pm to 2pm Optional weekly surgery day Multiple nearby veterinary emergency/specialty and urgent care centers for referrals Ideal Candidate Licensed DVM in South Carolina, able and ready to practice veterinary medicine in this state Full-time preferred, part-time available New grads welcome - mentorship and growth opportunities Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary + commission based on production: commensurate with experience and employment status Benefits include: Health insurance CE allowance Dues/licensing fees Paid time off Interested?
